That's me with my gorgeous girlfriend Amy. Two red heads together!!!
OMG! :-)
My name is David Bowring, I was born in February
1980. I
live in Milton Keynes,
United Kingdom. I'm a fan of Computer Games, Remote Control planes, Football
and most sports.
When I say I'm a fan of Computer Games, I mean it. I'm forever playing on my PS3, and Amy probably ended up getting her own PS3 just so she wouldn't feel left out :-) My PSN name is Kellos and you can see my profile below:
Hmmm... What else should I say..? I suppose you could call me a bit of a geek,
I work for Infonic http://www.infonic-document-management.com as a Software Support Engineer for our Document Management software, and it
doesn't end there, at home I'm often in front of my PS3 playing games or adding
content to this web site :-)
I look a damn sight younger than I am which can be both a blessing and a curse - usually a curse to be honest, but I'm sure I'll appreciate it more when I'm older... As you've probably already seen, I decided (against my better judgment) to put a picture up of myself.
Kellos is my online/gaming nickname, so that explains the name of my site.
I used to play World of Warcraft and that was where I first used the name Kellos. If ever you're playing a game and see a 'Kellos' running around say hi!
I enjoy driving and I used to have a motorbike (brand new Honda CG 125) but I had an accident and after that
I sold it as I needed some cash. I do plan to get another bike in the future
again though.
I enjoy watching football but I can't say that I'm football mad. I support Liverpool
and have done since a child. I also like Tennis and Athletics and throughout
school I used to do Cross Country and 100m sprints. I was good at short distance and long distance, but for some reason mid-range was a no-no for me.
I've just bought myself a Remote Control Spitfire plane. I'll be adding photo's to the Picture Gallery of it - there's a good chance it's gonna have some accidents... :-(
I like to get out of the house and go for a drink with friends, I'm not as pro at drinking as some of my friends, I have been known to make an arse of myself when drunk :-( I try not to get as smashed now.
I sometimes do a little bit of programming in Visual Basic.NET and ASP.NET in my spare time. I used to
do a lot more programming when I was younger, but I do it at work, it's the last thing I want to do when I get home.
I think I've got a pretty good sense of humour and I really enjoy a laugh. I also think
I'm quite shy but people that know me can't believe that for a moment. I think that I just compensate for my shyness by being energetic.
My Family
My family are Scottish from my Mother's side and English from my Father's. Let me introduce my immediate family below.

That's my Mum. Her name was Rita, she unfortunately passed away on the 18th of May 2005. She was a wonderful woman and I miss
her although I try not to show it, but I still have my moments.
She was quite active; my Mum, Dad and their close friends Gary and Cherry used to go down to Dartmoor together
and walk the moors looking for Letterboxes (and no - not going door to door admiring flaps on the woodwork, it's something quite different).. My Dad has put together an In Memory page of my Mum on his site.

That's my Dad, Glyn. He's a top guy and certainly a man of his word - I've got a lot of respect for him in that department.
Although going to Dartmoor was an activity that he did primarily with my Mum, he still goes there with Gary - and I've been going down there with him recently in order to put out stamps in memory of my Mum.
He's put a really good web site together for other Letterboxer's. I've
helped him set his site up but all the content is his own. My Dad is a Senior
engineer working on ATM machines.
Oh - the story behind the picture is that one day my Mum asked him what he wanted when he got home from an especially hard day at work and he said "oh, a jug of whiskey will do it" so that's what he's got in his hand lol. I'll bet he probably drank it too.

Frank and Lorraine - who are my Aunt and Uncle - between them have three
children; Lien, Caitlin and Rhiannon.
Frank is a mechanic and likes to build
his own vehicles, he's built a Trike which has won some awards (he's got some pictures in his album on my gallery). That thing is mad, it's great fun
to cruise around on.
Lorraine isn't exactly a biker at heart, so she kind of had to adopt the whole biker thing and now has
her own bike which she loves.
The kids are all still at school causing no
end of mischief I'm sure :-) I love them all to bits but I don't see enough
of them which is totally my fault as they only live a few miles away. I'm in the middle of sorting their photo's and once I have done them I'll do a write up about them.

Lien is the youngest, he's a great kid. He's fun, a little bit over-the-top but he's a kid and a boy so what do you expect :-) He probably gets the raw deal out of the family because he's the youngest, the only boy plus I'm sure his sisters will grass him up at every opportunity.

Caitlin is the middle child of the three, she's a bit of a Tom Boy and would much rather have an action man than a doll :-) She's doing well at school as far as I know. She's owns the monkey bars at the park, she should have been born a monkey!

Nan Fox (another Rita just like her daughter) now lives with my Dad, after my Mum
died she took it pretty hard as you would expect. She has a better social
life than I do, she's out every day meeting up with her friends in a Cafe listening
to dirty jokes or out at night playing bingo reciting them! :-)

Nan Bowring (my Dad's Mum) lives in Shrewsbury and she is a lovely lady. We don't
see enough of her, although she does come down and stay at my Dad's house for a
few weeks in the Summer or at Christmas. Everyone has to be on best behaviour when she's around...
Friends
I don't tend to talk about friends, I wouldn't want to name and shame them lol, but also because friends come and go. Good friends however, stick around through thick and thin and you guys and girls know who you are and I thank you.
Places I've Visited
I've only traveled to a few countries outside of the UK; France, Greece, Germany
and South Africa.
France I went to when I was still at secondary/high school on a
French exchange. It was quite good fun, Sebastien (the french student) firstly
came and stayed at my house then myself and other people in our school on the exchange
went out to France and stayed in Gien. There wasn't much to do in Gien, it's a tiny little village but we traveled around and visited Paris etc.
Greece was pretty cool, I went there with a mate called Graham
on a Club 18-30 for two weeks. We went to Kavos which is similar to Ibiza.
Lots of drinking, lots of good weather and lots of fun! Although I drank far
too much one night and ended really ill and wasn't allowed to drink for a few days.
It wasn't so bad though, Graham got so badly burned by the sun that he got blisters
and almost wasn't able to fly back home!
Germany... Well I say that I visited there, but in truth
I visited the Frankfurt airport on my way to and from South Africa :-) It was clean lol.
South Africa was brilliant. I went out there to see a gorgeous woman
called Cara that I was having a long-distance relationship with. She lives in Durban which is a town/city
right next to the sea. I traveled around and went on Safari, saw wild animals
I never thought I'd see up close and personal. I've been to animal parks in
the UK, but you can't even compare it to what you see out there. I have to
say I was very tempted to move out there, it's an amazing country, it's definitely
got its problems but then again the UK has enough of its own. The sights out
there are fantastic, bear it in mind next time you're planning a holiday - just
watch out for Johannesburg - that place is mental.
